We also actively encourage our members to compete in the RSGB 80M Club Championships, they provide excellent practice in contesting in 3 different aspects of radio. Being only 90 minute duration contests, they enable members get used to computer logging and operating in quite a low pressure environment, which helps us in major HF contests!

Over the last 2 years BDXG has started competing in the RSGB 2M Club Championships also and we have added participation in the 70cm version in 2009. VHF and UHF contesting is a completely different aspect to the speed orientated HF equivalent, but is nonetheless very challenging.
