As a result of a Norfolk Community Foundation grant through the government’s Grassroots Grants scheme, Bittern DX-ers new teaching and demonstration equipment has been purchased from GMS Electronics of Scarning, Norfolk. Thanks to the £3235 grant BDXG have been able to purchase a brand new Yaesu FT-897D, FT-8800E, MFJ-948 ATU, MFJ-239B Antenna Analyzer and Diamond X-510 plus a few other items in the radio equipment. Thanks to the grant we have also been able purchase some much-needed dedicated teaching equipment in the form of a new laptop and projector from Premier Links in North Walsham. Foundation Licence courses have been planned this Autumn for those who would like to become involved in the world of Amateur Radio.
