| BWBF Transmission 2009 double trophy success |
|
Thanks to the wonderful effort of the members "GB2TX" achieved 1113 contacts during the weekend of the 20th and 21st of September and raised over £450. We were surprised that despite the group's lowest total of donations since we started participating five years ago in this annual fundraising initiative that it was still good enough to win! It repeats the group's success of 2007 when the GB2TX callsign was first used at our regular spot at Emcy's Garden Centre, near Holt. This means the club has now won the most funds raised trophy for 4 consecutive years having raised well in excess of £5000 for BWBF funds. Unfortunately the planned trophy presentation on 24th January 2010 at BWBF HQ in Maidstone, Kent has been postponed due to the recent severe weather. |

The Bittern DX Group are proud to announce that our "Transmission 2009" fundraising station for the British Wireless the Blind Fund has managed to scoop both club trophies.
